Well there is one really good thing about the warm days we have had in the Pacific Northwest, besides that wonderful sun and heavenly warmth! It means I have been able to dip my toe into the Copper creation pool earlier than normal. Yes, I broke out the torch, set up the table and firing easel and went to town on these bits of copper… each one is only 6″x6″ but grouped they are wonderful, if I do say so myself… Only one is up in my shop so far, but the rest will be there soon… Here is a preview…

Copper Treasures Collection
I was perusing jewelry on Etsy as I am prone to do on a pretty regular basis. I love handmade, mine and that of others… I found so many yummy copper pieces that I just could not resist picking my favorites. So here is what I came up with, and I am so tempted by the copper flower earrings. In fact, I was tempted by many creations in her shop. Here is the collection, enjoy the beauties!!!

How to make a twisted wire bracelet
Thanks to Dave Gilmore who shot this video when I was doing a demonstration at our local Artist gathering this month.
Coco Chanel Homage Collection
It is really inspiring to think that Coco Chanel is impacting designers today, almost as much as she has in the past. As the founder of Chanel she was a fashion designer that made a profound impact on not only the fashion of her day, but for generations to come. Some her most famous contributions to fashion were the classic Chanel Suit, The Chanel bag, and costume jewelry fashioned after diamond and platinum creations. Probably the most well known is the “little black dress” which is considered a fashion essential to this day. I have culled Etsy to complete my homage to Chanel and have found jewelry a well as home decor. Her quotes are some of my personal favorites.

The Egyptian Goddess Collection
Since the first tombs of Tutankhamen were discovered, the world has been fascinated by Egypt and Egyptian culture. The colors and the designs and the mythology that surrounds the pyramids tells an unending story of intrigue, romance and history. I went on a search of artists that pay homage to the designs and mythology of ancient Egypt and was lucky enough to find some beautiful hand made jewelry that would make a Goddess proud. Clicking on the title of any of the images below will take you to the artist, where you can see more views of the jewelry and other items they have created.
Handpainted Earrings Collection
I went looking for some hand painted earrings and was pleasantly surprised by what I found!
Check out this collection of beauties!
Ghost Horse a Metalwork
One of my latest metalworks is one I call Ghost Horse.
I don’t usually do figurative work, but I wanted to create a piece for an upcoming show, which was being held in a Horse barn (a VERY large one) and I decided to do a horse. Since my creative technique is to do my carving freehand, I knew I would need to make my hand familiar with the shape of a horse. I began by looking at and sketching different horses. After about 15 of them, I decided that I just wanted to do a head, and thought then I could do something that fit my style. I started with the head and jaw, which I carved very carefully. Then I went wild with the mane of the horse . After I fired the work, it needed contrast. That is when I decided to silver the head of the horse. When I was done, I looked at the horse and immediately thought, This is a Ghost Horse!

Spring Earring Collection
Earrings are an essential accessory for spring
Salt air, Lake air, camping, hiking, running… bracelets and necklaces are not always the easiest to wear when we become more active when Spring rolls around. Earrings are a simple alternative or addition to complete your look as you head into spring this year.
Pulled back and upswept hair are standards for spring and summer, and the addition of a good earring is essential. You can make a statement or keep it simple, it depends on your style. Below you can find some great picks for Spring earrings, that give you that pop of color or a more simple silhouette.

The Handmade Ring Collection
A couple of years back large, blingy rings, began to appear in the accessory landscape. This year, the more beads on a ring or the bigger the ring, the better. Many are wearing several quite large rings on one hand and on occasion on one finger. They make quite a statement and there are such a collection of really lovely rings, that I decided to find handmade rings, created by jewelry artists, that would be great adds to anyones accessories drawer.
